The "Tokyo New Year Half Marathon" is a half-marathon event held at the Shin-Arakawa Ohashi Baseball Stadium in Kita Ward, Tokyo, which will celebrate its 27th edition in 2027.

As a Japan Association of Athletics Federations-certified event, it attracts top runners who achieve fast times every year. At the same time, the organizers aim to make the event accessible to everyone, regardless of age or gender, and to both experienced runners and beginners alike. In addition to the main "Half Marathon" event, races such as the "10 km" and "2 km Pair Run" are offered, with the goal of promoting physical activity among a wider range of Tokyo residents, both in terms of age and ability.

Starting with the 2026 edition, the course has been certified by World Athletics (WA), marking a step toward making the event more global in scale.

Half Marathon

*5 wave start every 10 minutes
Time Limit: 2 hours and 30 minutes
* Cut-off point close at 11:25AM(1 hour and 15 minutes after the start time)

*Simultaneous start including Athletics Federation registered participants and high school students
Time Limit: 80 minutes
* Cut-off point close at 1:40PM (40 minutes after the start time)

* If you require a guide runner, you must contact the organizer via the inquiry form no later than two weeks before the event. Your guide runner must wear the official guide runner bib provided by the organizer while accompanying you during the race.
* Participants in the disability division must present a valid photo ID as well as a physical disability certificate or other proof of disability. (Certificate issued by official organizations is also acceptable)
