Application Terms and Conditions
Participants must agree to the following terms and conditions before applying.
(1) In the event of cancellation due to circumstances beyond the organizer's control—including but not limited to earthquakes, wind/flood damage, snowfall, incidents, accidents, or disease—
will be determined based on the expenses incurred up to the point of cancellation.
However, please note that participation rights obtained through the hometown tax donation program are not eligible for refunds.
(2) Changes to event categories, modifications to submitted information, cancellations, or refunds of participation fees and handling charges after registration are not permitted for personal reasons.
(3) Please enter the name used when applying for participation. This name must match the identification document (My Number Card, driver's license, etc.) presented at registration on the day before the event.
(4) False declarations regarding age, gender, records, etc., the transfer of participation rights, or participation by anyone other than the registered applicant (substitute participation) are not permitted.
If any of these are discovered, the participant's entry will be canceled, they will be disqualified, and any awards (including records) will be revoked. The organizer will provide no compensation whatsoever and will not refund any participation fees or handling charges. Furthermore, both the original registrant and the substitute runner will be barred from participating in this event in the future.
(5) Duplicate entries by the same individual (including cases where events differ, such as the Marathon (42.195 km) and Takamatsu Fun Run (approx. 3 km or approx. 1 km)) are not permitted. If duplicate entries by the same individual are discovered, the entry decision will be revoked, the participant will be disqualified, and any awards (or records) will be annulled. The organizer will provide no compensation whatsoever and will not refund any participation fees or handling charges.
(6) Minors must obtain parental consent before applying.
(7) The organizer shall not be held liable for any failure to complete necessary procedures due to:
- Malfunction of internet equipment not attributable to the organizer;
- Non-delivery or delay of emails or mailed items;
- Communication environment issues preventing timely contact from the organizer.
(8) During the competition, only emergency first aid will be provided. Compensation for accidents or injuries occurring during the event will be provided within the scope of the organizer's insurance coverage, except in cases of intentional acts or gross negligence by the organizer. Please bring your health insurance card or qualification verification document on the day of the event.
(9) If the organizer determines during the competition that continuing poses a risk, immediately comply with the organizer's instruction to stop the competition.
Additionally, comply with all other organizer instructions regarding safety management, event operations, and infection prevention measures.
Failure to comply with organizer instructions may result in disqualification. In such cases, no refunds of participation fees or handling charges will be issued.
(10) The organizer retains the rights to use images, photographs, articles, and the applicant's name, age, address (country, prefecture, or municipality), etc., for television, radio, newspapers, magazines, the internet, and other media during the event. Additionally, personal information may be provided to third parties for the purposes stated in the “Handling of Personal Information.”
