Application method First come, first served
Registration for charity runners is on a first-come, first-served basis.

*Due to system limitations, your My Page will display “Waiting for event” after you submit your application, but your participation will be confirmed once your payment is complete.

[Steps from Registration to Payment of Participation Fee]
① Please follow the instructions to complete the registration process. Once your application ID appears on the screen, the process is complete.
② Within 3 to 4 days after the registration process is complete, an email will be sent to the primary registrant asking them to complete the payment for the participation fee on our partner Flywire’s website.
Please follow the instructions in the email to complete the payment.

<Important Notes>
* The payment deadline is the date and time specified in the email from Flywire (approximately two weeks after the email is received). Please note that your entry will be invalidated if you miss this deadline.
* After payment is completed, the payment confirmation will appear on your My Page within 3–4 days.
*The “Waiting for event” status displayed on My Page will be changed to “Confirmed Events” on or after Tuesday, October 20, when the registration period ends.

In addition to the participation fee (USD 145), you will be asked to make a charity donation of two shares (USD 10) and a contribution of at least USD 475.

*A separate administrative fee of 11% of the payment amount is required.

●Participation Prize
Charity runners will receive a “Charity T-shirt (Charity Runner Version).” On the day of the race, please wear this T-shirt to promote the Osaka Marathon’s charity initiative.

9:15 AM  General Marathon 1st wave starts, following 2nd and 3rd waves start sequentially.

Eligibility Full marathon:Persons born on or before April 1, 2008
(1) JAAF members (Registrants for the year 2026)
(2) Non-JAAF members
※For both ① and ②, participants who have difficulty running on their own may be accompanied by one escort runner.(An escort runner can change only once at a designated point on the course. Running with a guide dog or any other animal is not permitted)
※Those who can finish the race by the end time of the event.
About Charity

<About Charity Merchandise>
We will accept orders for charity merchandise at the time of registration.
*Purchases can only be made at the time of registration. No additions or changes can be made after you place your order.
*A portion of the proceeds, excluding production costs and other expenses, will be donated to the Osaka Marathon 2027 charity partners (charitable organizations).

*If you are ordering an athlete bib with a nickname, please enter your nickname in the designated field.
Please note that if you purchase an athlete bib but do not enter a nickname, the bib will display only a number.

Line-up at the Start Wave (time staggered) start will be implemented to reduce congestion and ensure runner safety.
Line-up blocks will be determined by the organizers from the perspective of race management and safety, based on the personal best time and estimated finish time declared at the time of application, regardless of whether the runner is registered with the JAAF or not. 
Please be sure to adhere to your starting block, as you will be disqualified if you start ahead of your designated block (wave). 

※Personal best time must be a record (gross or net time) from a recognized marathon held on or after August 1, 2024. False declarations will result in disqualification.
※Please calculate your estimated finish time carefully based on your half marathon and other records and your daily practice.
Course and Time Limit

A course with few hills and easy to run on—it set the Japanese student record in 2024, the Japanese record for a first-time marathon in 2025, and new course records for both men and women in 2026! With a high finish rate, whether you’re aiming to set a personal best or running your first marathon, race through the heart of Osaka and enjoy an unforgettable finish
 

Marathon :
Osaka Marathon course starting in front of the Osaka Prefectural Government Building and finishing within Osaka Castle Park (official course of the Japan Association of Athletics Federations (JAAF), World Athletics (WA), and the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS)
Race Time: 7 hours (starts at 9:15, ends at 16:15)
Awards

The awards will be granted based on the gross time as follows:
(720<Naniwa>Run Marathon does not include awards.)
◎ The top eight male and female finishers overall will be awarded.
◎The Civic Runner Award is granted to male and female runners finishing in first place, excluding invited athletes and elite runners.
◎The Chicago Marathon Award is granted to male and female runners who live in Osaka Prefecture and finish in first place, excluding invited athletes, elite runners, representative runners for affiliate marathons, and the Chicago Marathon Award winners up through the 14th Osaka Marathon.
◎The Prague Marathon Award is granted to male and female runners who live in Osaka Prefecture and finish in the second place, excluding invited athletes, elite runners, representative runners for affiliate marathons, and the Prague Marathon Award winners in the 14th Osaka Marathon. However, if a male or female runner finishing in first place is not eligible for the Chicago Marathon Award, they shall receive the Prague Marathon Award instead.
※ Additionally, based on net time, certificates will be sent later to the top three male and female participants in each age category (5-year increments), excluding invited athletes, elite runners, and overall winners, as well as to the super senior award for the oldest finisher.

Competition Rules The race will be conducted in accordance with the latest rules and regulations of the WA, the JAAF, and this event.
Since the Osaka Marathon is a Label Road Race certified by the WA, the WA Road Race Label Regulations also apply. Doping control tests will be conducted in accordance with the WA Rules.
Doping Control / TUE Application <Doping Control >
Doping tests will be conducted in accordance with the WA Anti-Doping Regulations or the Japan Anti-Doping Regulations. For doping control tests carried out before or after the race, a sample of Urine or blood (or both) will be collected. People nominated should take the test as instructed.

Athletes who must use prohibited substances or methods listed in the International Standard for Prohibited Substances and Methods for therapeutic purposes should apply for a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE). For more details, please visit the website below.
