Event Participation Rules and Regulations
◎Before applying to the race, all the participants are required to read all rules and regulations stated in the by laws and agree to follow them.
1.No change of event, cancellation, or refund of entry fee will be made under any circumstances due to personal reasons, after the application has been made.
2.Each participant may only apply for one event, and may not change events after registration. False declarations of age, gender, record, etc., or participation by anyone other than the applicant (illegal participation) will not be accepted. If an individual or a group is found to have participated illegally, not only will their entry be cancelled, but they may not be allowed to register for future competitions.
3.Substitute runners and transfer of rights are not allowed at the event. If such actions are found, the entrant will be disqualified. In such cases, the organizer will not provide any compensation.
4.If an athlete registered with the JAAF participates in the second part (half marathon general), the record will not be certified.
5.If you are registered with the JAAF, please enter your affiliation name exactly as registered with the JAAF when you apply.
6.Minors must obtain the consent of a parent or guardian before applying.
7.If you are visually impaired and wish to participate in the race with an escort runner, a special athlete bib will be provided for the escort runner. Please contact the Runner Call Center when you register.
8.Please wear the athlete bibs that will be provided at the registration desk or sent to you in advance on your chest. Japan Association of Athletics Federations (JAAF) registered runners and Heart Support Runners should wear their bibs on their chest and back.
9.The area around the venue is expected to be very crowded on the day of the race. Please use public transportation or shuttle buses whenever possible. Parking will be on a first-come, first-served basis, so please register at the time of registration.
10.The organizer is not responsible for any delayed arrivals due to public transportation, road conditions, or any other circumstances.
11.Please take all possible precautions to ensure that you are in good physical condition, including training sufficiently and undergoing a medical checkup prior to participating in the event. If you suspect that you have a medical condition, please consult with your doctor before participating in the event.
12.The organizer will provide first aid for any injury, illness, or accident during the competition, but will not be held responsible for them except those caused by the organizer's intentional or gross negligence. In case of slight negligence on the part of the organizer, liability shall be limited to the extent of the injury insurance described in the following section.
13.The organizer will take out the following accident insurance, but those who want more compensation should take out their own insurance. "Death/Permanent Disability: ¥2,000,000, Hospitalization Daily Benefit: ¥1,500, Outpatient Daily Benefit: ¥1,000"
14.You can keep your baggage in the designated place, but the organizer will not be responsible for any theft, loss, or destruction of your baggage, unless it is caused by the organizer's intentional or gross negligence. In case of slight negligence on the part of the organizer, the organizer shall be liable up to the amount equivalent to the participation fee.
15.For safety reasons, the starting order will be in the order of self-reported times at the time of application. Please refrain from making false declarations, as it may interfere with the safe operation of the event. Please follow the announcements and instructions of the race officials and start from the designated blocks. If you are late, you will be asked to start from the last block. Please do not cut in line.
16.In the event of an accident, fire, or other emergency, emergency vehicles may have priority on the course. In such cases, please follow the instructions of police officers, firefighters, and competition officials.
17.No banners, placards, etc. are allowed for advertising. As for costumes, please follow the guidelines set by the organizer (See the tournament website) and dress sensibly. If you do not follow the instructions of the staff, you may not be allowed to participate in the race. In such cases, the entry fee will not be refunded.
18.If you have completed your 2026 Japan Association of Athletics Federations registration by the day of the event, we will issue you an official record certificate (fee: 500 yen). Please apply on the day of the event. We will send it to you by post at a later date.
19.The entry fee will not be refunded in the event that the event is reduced or cancelled due to an earthquake, windstorm, flood, snowfall, fire, incident, accident, illness, or any other reason beyond the control of the organizer.
20.Entry information may be used in the Chunichi Shimbun's coverage of the event.
21.The organizers reserve the right to use any images, photographs, articles, records, names, ages, addresses (country, prefecture, or city), etc. of the entrants during the event for publication on TV, newspapers, magazines, and the Internet, as well as portrait rights.
22.Photographs related to the tournament may be sold to the general public (including through contractors).
23.The organizer will handle the personal information of participants in strict compliance with the Personal Information Protection Law.
24.In addition to the above-mentioned application rules, the event will be held in accordance with the competition precautions stipulated separately by the organizer.
Regulation
The Competition Rules & Technical Rules, the 2026 Japan Association of Athletics Federations Rules, and the rules of this competition shall apply. In addition, as this competition is a WA-certified label competition, the WA Road Race Label Regulations and WA Advertising Regulations shall also apply. Doping tests will be conducted in accordance with WA rules.
Personal Information
The organizer acknowledges the importance of personal information and complies with the laws and related regulations regarding the protection of personal information. In accordance with the organizer's privacy policy, personal information will be handled.
The purpose of using personal information is to enhance services for participants, including providing participation information, notifying records, communicating related information, offering services from event sponsors, collaborators, and affiliated organizations, and announcing records (rankings). Additionally, the organizer or its designated representative may contact participants to confirm application details.
