Application method First come, first served
The course that visits the vicinity of seven World Heritage Sites allows you to enjoy the beauty of Kyoto, an international cultural and tourist city, while experiencing the natural landscapes of Arashiyama, Kamogawa, and other picturesque areas. From the course, you can also admire the panoramic views of the five mountains, known for their "Okuribi" (bonfire) tradition.

Notes:

  • Each runner must show up in person for check-in during the two days prior to the day of the event to receive a race bib, etc. Please note that no check-ins will be accepted on the day of the event or at any time other than the periods specified above.
  • A document for identity verification(original) is required to receive a race bib. Runners must register in person (no proxies allowed).

The race course will start at TAKEBISHI Stadium Kyoto(Nishikyogoku Athletic Park) and finish in front of Heian-jingu Shrine (course certified by JAAF, IAAF, and AIMS)

Closing Times at Each Closing point(CP) For the purpose of traffic, security, and competition management, time-limited gates will be set.
In the event of significant delays outside of the time limits, the competition may be stopped.
Eligibility Participants must:

①Have been born before April 1, 2007; and
②Be able to complete the race within 6 hours.
※Participation in wheelchairs is not permitted.

[What is “FUROSHIKI”?]
Furoshiki is a traditional handicraft of Kyoto, and you will experience Kyoto’s traditions and culture every time you use it. Furoshiki is also a sustainable item that can be used again and again for a variety of things such as eco-bags, tablecloths, and gift wrapping.

[Design] 
Traditional Japanese crafts such as lacquered bowls and octagonal trays, as well as auspicious motifs like "pine (longevity)," "bamboo (growth)," "peony (magnificence)," and "hollyhock (matchmaking)" are depicted in designs with beautiful, glossy gold and red colors.

Important issue 1.Only the person who has applied to participate in the event may run (substitute runners are not permitted).
2.Participants are not allowed to participate in the event in disguise. Wearing or displaying company names, product names, trademarks, or other advertisements at the event site or on the course is not permitted.
3.Donations to the Kyoto City Sports Promotion Fund will be accepted on a voluntary basis (1000 yen per unit).
4.Luggage storage: Available (except valuables); transported to the finish line
