| Notice from the Organizers |
This one-way course takes you through historic sites and scenic spots, including the Tottori Sand Dunes, the ruins of Tottori Castle, the Jifukaku—a nationally designated Important Cultural Property—and the Manyo no Sato in Kokufu-cho, Tottori City, where the Manyo poet Otomo no Yakamochi composed the final poem of the *Manyoshu* at the Inaba Provincial Office. You can also enjoy the beautiful scenery of the clear Chiyogawa River and the surrounding countryside. Many participating runners have commented that the support they received from spectators of all ages—men and women alike—as well as from volunteers, was a great source of encouragement. This event is highly recommended not only for marathon enthusiasts but also for those attempting a marathon for the first time. |
