Would you like to enjoy a forest bathing run on a course surrounded by pristine forests in June when the fresh greenery abounds? Located in Chitose City, Hokkaido, amidst nature such as the Chitose River and the Shikotsu Lake in the National Park. Our staff eagerly awaits your visit.

    • Full/17km Marathon: From Shinmachi Izumisawa Odori to Lake Shikotsu Forest Road, then onto Lake Shikotsu Park Road, ending at Chitose City Sports Center.
    • 3km Marathon: From Aoba Park, crossing Ohayou Bridge, and finishing at Chitose City Sports Center.

start method

Full Marathon & 17km Marathon:

  • To alleviate course congestion, a wave start will be implemented.
  • Both races will start with participants in order of expected finish times.
  • For both races, Blocks C to E will be randomly assigned with 600 participants each.
  • If expected finish times are not provided, participants will be assigned to Blocks C to E randomly.
  • To address inequalities caused by this start method, net time will be used for timing. As a result, there will be no real-time ranking updates.

3km Marathon:

  • No block assignments will be made due to simultaneous start. Real-time rankings will be announced on the event's website.

● 17km Marathon
No mid-course checkpoints are set assuming completion within 3 hours. However, if deemed unable to finish within 3 hours, it may lead to safety concerns and event operation issues, resulting in the race being stopped midway. Please follow the instructions of the staff.
Finish line closure: 12:20

● 3km Marathon
No mid-course checkpoints or finish line closure times are set, but please follow the instructions of the staff if there are concerns regarding safety management and event operation.

Participation Prize/Awards

● Participation Prize
All participants will receive an original towel.

● Awards
Awards will be given to the top 1-6 male finishers and top 1-3 female finishers in each category for the Full Marathon and 17km Marathon.
Awards will be given to the top 1-3 finishers in each category for the 3km Marathon.
Four overall winners (male and female) of the Full Marathon and 17km Marathon will receive a Japan Airlines domestic round-trip flight ticket.

● Awards Ceremony
The net timing calculation with wave starts for the Full Marathon and 17km Marathon, the award ceremony will not be held alongside the 3km Marathon to allow for delayed ranking announcements.
Prizes will be sent by mail at a later date.

● Special Awards

  • Two groups of four individuals will be invited to a "2-night 3-day domestic trip with JAL Pack" as special awards, selected through a computer lottery by the event organizing committee. Please refer to the event website for entry details.
  • Only the prefecture of residence and surnames of the winners will be announced on the event website. Winners will also be contacted by the event organizing committee.
  • Special awards may be subject to change in content due to social circumstances. Please understand.
  • Lucky prizes will be awarded to participants whose race number ends in "44" with an original T-shirt.
  • As Sister City Awards and participants representing the event, one outstanding Full Marathon runner residing in Chitose City will be invited to the "Ibusuki Nanohana Marathon" through a lottery.

● Attractions, etc.
There will be no attractions or lottery events at the main stage.

Notes
  • Please follow the instructions of the event staff at all times, especially in situations where safety is concerned.
  • Participants must download their completion certificates from the event website.
  • If you are unable to reach the starting area on time for your assigned block in the Full/17km Marathon, line up at the back of the next block for a delayed start. Failure to comply may result in disqualification.
  • During the Full/17km Marathon course, be aware of two road crossings at the Chitose Interchange Road and Lake Shikotsu Park Road, where traffic signal operations may be conducted for safety.
  • Non-compliance with safety instructions, including stopping the race if necessary, may lead to disqualification and could affect future event hosting.
  • All Full/17km Marathon finishers will receive a commemorative T-shirt upon completion.
  • There is no wheelchair division in this event.
  • Baggage storage is available on the 1st-floor arena; please use designated bags for advanced shipment. Any additional baggage is the responsibility of the participant.
  • Check-in for baggage is between 7:00 AM and 9:30 AM, and retrieval is available after the race until 4:30 PM. Allow extra time for transportation, as the storage area is a 15-minute walk from the start.
  • It is recommended to carry your health insurance card for medical emergencies.
  • Free shuttle buses will run between JR Chitose Station, Sumiyoshi Softball Field, and adjacent parking lots, and the event venue near Chitose City Library. Expect congestion and plan accordingly.
  • Limited parking is available; consider carpooling or using public transportation to ease congestion.
