Competition Rules

① Competitors must run on the left side of the road at all times and, even at intersections, take care not to stray to the right of the center of the intersection. Always follow the instructions of police officers and competition officials.

② The competition will be terminated once the time limit has expired; competitors must follow the instructions of the officials.

③ Race officials may order any participant who significantly disrupts the operation of the event to stop competing.

Participant Responsibilities

① Participants must always take care of their health. They are responsible for preparing for the event, including undergoing a medical examination to ensure they are in optimal physical condition before participating.

② Please use the athlete bibs provided by the organizer.

③ The organizers assume no responsibility for theft or other incidents; please exercise the utmost caution.

④ Traffic restrictions will be lifted once the time limit has elapsed. Runners arriving after this time must stop the race immediately.

⑤ If a referee or medical official determines that you are unable to continue and instructs you to stop the race, please follow those instructions.

⑥ In an emergency, emergency vehicles have the right of way under all circumstances. Runners must take care not to obstruct the passage of emergency vehicles.

⑦ At intersections where traffic congestion is expected, vehicle traffic may be given temporary priority; please follow the instructions of the staff.

Event Organizer Provisions

① The event organizer has sports injury insurance; however, regarding injuries or illnesses occurring during the event that fall under the exclusions, only first aid will be provided.

② The event organizer assumes no responsibility whatsoever for infections among participating runners, team personnel, or event staff.

③ To clarify the participants’ personal responsibility during the event, registered participants are deemed to have agreed to the terms of this pledge upon submission of their application. (Substitutes are not permitted.)

④ Personal information will be used for participant guides, results notifications, notifications of related information, the provision of services from event sponsors, partners, and affiliated organizations, the announcement of results, and the provision of information to affiliated events.

Terms and Conditions

① The organizer will enroll all participants in a one-day insurance policy as a group; however, any costs not covered by the insurance are the participant’s responsibility. Furthermore, the organizer assumes no liability whatsoever—except for first aid—for theft, loss, or accidental injury or accidents occurring during the event.

② You may not change your event category or cancel your registration after submitting your application.

③ False declarations regarding your name, age, gender, etc., or fraudulent participation by anyone other than the registered applicant will not be permitted. In such cases, your participation will be revoked.

④ No refunds will be issued for cancellations due to earthquakes, natural disasters, incidents, accidents, or other events; for inability to travel to Ishigaki Island due to severe weather; for cancellations based on items ② and ③ above or for personal reasons; or for overpayments or duplicate payments.

⑤ You consent to the use of your personal information (including your name, age, gender, results, and likeness) in videos, photographs, articles, and records from the event for publication or broadcast in newspapers, on television, in magazines, on the Internet, in pamphlets, and other media. Furthermore, the rights to publish and use such material belong to the organizer.
