2. Have the ability to deal with any problems that may occur in this type of race.
3. Being able to deal with problems that may occur in mountainous areas and bad weather (low temperature, strong winds, rain or snow) without relying on others.
4. Be aware that the event committee is not responsible for the problems 1 - 3 above.
5. If you face to safety issues in your activities in nature, you must deal with it according to your abilities.
6. On the public road that will be the race course, follow the traffic regulations since there’s no any traffic restrictions.
7. Must be high school students or older who have confidence in finishing within the time limit without getting lost in the whole race course.
(* In the case of under 18 years old, parental permission and sign is necessary.)
8. Must be finisher of more than 30 kilometers of trail running race before

Race Rules
1. On this race, the rankings will be determined from the finishers with the shortest course duration.
2. On this race, we will set a time limit for each gate. Basically, runners who pass this time limit should stop the race and descend according to the staff instruction.
3. If you pass the end time of the race after passing each gate, stop the race and descend according to the staff instruction. Please do not descend without contacting the staff.
4. If the staff judges that it’s difficult for you to continue the race during the race, the race may be interrupted.
5. If you decide to default in the race, tell the staff nearby. If you don’t do this, you can’t participate in the race in the next fiscal year.
6. If the weather gets worse during the race, the race may be canceled.
7. The use of stick, canes, etc. during the race is prohibited in principle for the protection of nature and safety management. However, you will be allowed to use it in emergency situations such as injuries.
8. If you don’t carry a must-have item, we will add 60 minutes on your goal time. Therefore, you will be disqualified if your goal time exceed the time limit after addition.
9. The following runners will be disqualified.
・A runner who violates nature protection
・A runner who violates the race rules and doesn’t follow the instructions of the staff
・A runner who falsifies participation qualification
・A runner who doesn’t wear a competition number
・A runner who throw away trash during the race
・A runner who does foul play
Notes
1. Be sure to bring your health insurance card on the day.
2. If you are late for sign up, you can’t participate in the race.
3. About accidents during the race, we will only take first-aid measures, but we will not be liable for the others.
4. The race may be canceled if we judge that it’s not possible to continue the race due to stormy weather.
In this case, we will give you the entry award but will not refund the entry fee.
5. In case of absence due to personal circumstances, we will not refund the entry fee etc.
6. In addition to the required items, please bring at your own discretion all necessary items such as foods and water.
7. Put the competition number in a position that is chest level to see easily.
8. The copyright to update videos, records, photos, articles, etc. during the race on the newspaper, magazines, TV, internet, etc. belongs to the organizer.
9. According to luggage except must-have items for the race, follow the staff's instructions and use the designated place.
However, take care of your own valuables and broken items etc. The organizer will not be responsible for loss.
10. Please take your trash home with you.
Course Map
【Long Course】
Sarubino Hot Spring – Saikyozan – Tashiroike – Ohiraike - Top of Mt. Reizan - Rizanji Temple – Tsuge ward citizen center - Tsuge village – Mt. Hatayama – Zoro Pass – Aburahidake - Tsuge village– Tsuge ward citizen center – Junction of Mt. Reizan – Tashiroike – Ohiraike – Sarubino hot spring

The course is 48km distance with an accumulated elevation of 2500km. In the first half, you will climb approximately 400 meters from Sarubino Hot Spring (approximately 250m above sea level) to Saikyozan (682m above sea level) but after that, it’s a high-speed course that you can run.
The middle part is a fully mountain course with rough terrain, running on the mountain range of Aburahidake, located at the southern end of the Suzuka Mountains.
A technique is required with physical strength. The latter half is a course to come back to Sarubino Hot Spring from Mt. Reizan to Tashiroike, passing the Tokai Nature Trail.
On the course, there are various plants and historical ruins related to ninjas that appeared in Tenshō Iga War. We hope that you enjoy it to cherish your thoughts to history romance during the race.

【Short Course】
Sarubino Hot Spring – Saikyozan – Tashiroike – Ohiraike – Sarubino Hot Spring

The course is 18km distance with an accumulated elevation of 900m.
It’s the same course as Long Course until running Tashiroike. After this, you will go around the ridge of Tashiroike, pass the Tokai Nature Trail, and come back to Sarubino Hot Spring.
This course is on relatively gentle terrain of Aoyama and Nunobiki and easy for beginners to run. Also, there is course guidance. Therefore, even first-time runners can participate in.
During the race, enjoy looking out over the entire Iga basin from Saikyozan, the colorful nature of Iga such as the autumn leaves reflected in Tashiroike and the fluffy trails with fallen leaves.
Rules on Nature Protection
1. This race course is designated as a national park and there are wide variety of plants and animals.
Please be aware that this race is held in a precious natural environment and follow the rules below.
2. The use of sticks is prohibited in all courses.
3. Do not run on the path or roads except the course.
There may be restrictions on overtaking and other restrictions wherever necessary for nature protection.
4. Do not collect or damage animals, plants, fungi, rocks, etc. on the course and in all areas.
5. Shortcutting the corner of the course is prohibited as it will damage plants.
6. Do not drink spring, waterfall or river water on the course.
If you feel sick after drinking, the committee will not have any responsibility.
7. Do not throw away trash.
8. Please use the toilet at each aid station. Please use the portable toilet and take it home if you can’t go to the toilet nearby.
9. When participating in the race, please use public transportation or share a car to make it less traffic in this area and reduce carbon dioxide emissions.
Rescue and Medical Support
1. If you see a runner or staff for the race who can’t move due to injury, illness, etc., give priority to help them and contact the staff nearby or the race office. Contact information for the office will be given at the time of the competition number exchange.
2. In order to ensure that the race is conducted safely, we will prepare for course maintenance as much as possible, and rescue and medical assistance at the race office. However, runners should be fully aware of the dangers involved in the nature of trail running, and participate in the race on their own risk against injuries, illnesses and accidents.
3. The rescue center is located at every aid station, with a doctor or nurse waiting. These stations are connected to the race office by radio and telephone.
There may be restrictions on overtaking and other restrictions wherever necessary for nature protection.
4. Place race marshals on the course, and they will rescue for an injured person nearby and do first aid.
5. Doctors and rescuers have the right to stop the race for runners who can ‘t continue the race any more. At that time, not only the IC chip but also the competition number may be collected.
6. Depending on the circumstances and situations, it may take a long time for the rescue to arrive. Therefore, please keep in mind items equipped in consideration of the situations in the mountains due to trouble.
7. Runner who is treated by a doctor or rescuer should consult a specialist after the race.
8. If you decide to default the race, you can return from the spot to the goal by support bus or car. If you take taxi, the cost is at your own expense.
9. The rescue team may be called if it’s determined that you need to be rescued. In that case, the cost will be at the rescued person.
10. The event organizer will get accident insurance in case of runners’ accident, injury or illness.
Aid Station and Private Support
1. Aid station offers snacks and beverages. However, the distance and accumulated elevation difference to each aid station is long and high, so be sure to bring drinks and food as you need.
(Be sure to read and follow the matters mentioned in "About Equipment").
2. Private support is possible by the runner’s family and friends. However, keep in mind not to bother other runners.
3. If the person who gives private support is judged to bother other runners obviously, the runner’s race may be canceled at the spot.
IC Chip
1. We manage the number of runners and finishers, and check passing at each aid station and check point by IC chip.
2. It’s possible to identify the name as well as the runner's record, and to identify the individual.
3. Please put the competition number on the position where the number can be confirmed from the front.
4. Return the IC chip to the nearby staff when you default the race.
5. If you lose the IC chip, you will be charged a compensation. (Approximately 4,000 yen) Please be sure to return after the race.
Guidance on the Course
1. With the permission of the land owner and manager, we arrange marking tapes, display signs and staff as the minimum required.
2. We place signs for guiding the course, ropes and other hazards in mountainous areas to reduce risks, and staff are also assigned. Follow the instructions.
3. At intersections and crossings, runners may be stopped for safety. Follow the instructions of the staff.
4. We arrange marking tape and guide signboards right before the race and remove completely within one month after the race.
Default
1. If you decide to default during the race, please notify the staff and return the IC chip.
2. Runner who can move by yourself walk to the next or previous aid station. If you can’t move by yourself, follow the instructions of the staff or race office and follow it.
*If you default on the course, it’s expected to take longer to pick you up.
If you are not sure that you can keep running, notify the default at the aid station before heading to the next aid station.
3. If you fault at the aid station, please notify the staff that you will default.
4. You can return to the venue by a tour bus or a car.
5. If you are missing, we will take it as victim. Therefore, be sure to notify the staff and default.
Prohibited Matter
1. If a runner violates the following rules or doesn’t follow the staff's instruction, he/she may be disqualified and may not be able to continue the race at the spot.
2. Destroy deliberately the nature of Iga foothills
3. Shortcut or go out of the course
4. Throw away tras
5. Foul play (use of vehicles, alternative running, and other acts that violate the law)
6. Not carry IC ch
7. Not follow the instructions of the staff, doctors, nurses and rescuers
8. Continue running after the gate time
Runner's Responsibility/Organizer's Responsibility
【Runner's Responsibility】
1. Be aware of the distance of the race and the peculiarities of continuing to run in the mountainous area and do the necessary training.
2. Be fully aware of your ability to be self-responsible for any problems that may occur in this type of race.
3. Be able to cope with problems expected in mountainous areas and bad weather (low temperature, strong wind, rain, snow) without relying on others.
4. Be able to cope with physical and mental problems caused by fatigue, internal organ and digestive system problems, muscle sore, and minor injuries.
5. Be aware that you must respond with your own abilities to activity in nature when you face safety issue.


【Organizer's Responsibility】
1. Install markings and signs on the course.
2. Manage the safety for runners with the race staff with the duty of management as a prudent manager.
3. Get liability and injury insurance for all runners.
(The organizer will provide first aid for injuries, illnesses and other accidents during the race. However, we will not have any responsibility outside of insurance. Please note that insurance doesn’t apply for hospitalization because of medical disease with accident insurance that the organizer gets)
4. The scope of the accident insurance coverage to compensate for accidents and illnesses of the runners by the insurance that the organizer get is as follows.
●Death 3 million yen ●Hospitalization (daily) 1,000 yen ●Go to hospital (daily) 1,000 yen
5. Respond to sudden accidents or destruction of trails, etc. on the course that are force majeure, or not runners' intentional or gross negligence
Race Cancellation Criteria
1. When weather warning is issued.
2. If it’s determined that the runners’ safety can’t be ensured, such as landslide or falling rock during the course.
3. On disaster. (When warning declaration such as "Tokai earthquake observation information" "Tokai earthquake warning information" "Tokai earthquake prediction information" are announced)
4. The decision to stop the race will be announced on the race official site and special website on the race day or the day before.
5. When an earthquake, wind and flood damage, snowfall, incident, accident, war or plague happens. If it’s determined that it will be difficult to hold or continue the race due to the above reasons, the organizer will decide to cancel or pretermit the race. There is no continuation of the race due to the change of the course and no postponement of the race date. Regardless of before or after the race starts, we will not refund the participation fee. We will give you the participation award.
Portrait Rights such as Photos Taken during the Race
1. Right to publish and portrait rights of video, photos, articles, records, location information, applicant's name, age, address (country, prefecture and city) on television, newspaper, magazine, Internet etc., belong to the organizer.
Equipment
1. We may check you during the race to see if you have the must-have items with you.
2. If you don’t have must-have items with you, 60 minutes will be added on your goal time. Therefore, if the time limit after addition is exceeded, you will be disqualified.

They are the items that the race side recommends runners to have with recognizing the distance of the race and the peculiarity of continuing to run in the mountainous area.
We will not check if you have them with you since they are recommended items. Please bring them if you think it’s necessary.

THE RULES AND REGULATIONS

1.Insurance is the responsibility of the course participants. All participants should arrange medical insurance in their own country before departure.
2.Late arrival to the race is NOT accepted.
3.The event organizer will not be liable to any detriments caused by training or during the race. Each participant shall take responsibility for things such as injuries, sickness, accidents, and the loss of personal belongings when participating in this event.
4.The event may be canceled in the case of bad weather, natural disasters, incidents, any accidents, other reasons, or if we believe that the organizers can not ensure the safety of participants.  If the event is canceled due to reasons beyond the control of the organizer including cancellation due to social circumstances, the entry fees will not be refunded.
5.The entry fees will not be refunded in the case of cancellation due to personal reasons.
6.Each participant must provide his/her own items and equipment.

7.During the race, your bib must be clearly visible on your chest.
8.Only those who have officially registered can take part in the race. Runners without the official running bib worn on the front of their shirt will be disqualified and may be directed off the course immediately.
9.The participant shall accept that materials such as images, photos, articles, and records (personal information such as name, age, gender, records, likenesses) will be reported, published, and used in mas-media such as newspapers, TV, magazines, social media, the Internet, and pamphlets. In addition, rights for the publishing and usage of these materials belong to the sponsor.
10.Baggage storage (except for valuables ) will be provided for the runners; However, the organization will ultimately not be responsible for any loss, theft or damage to those belongings
