Competition Rules
The race will be conducted in accordance with the 2018 rules and regulations of the JAAF and this competition.
Besides, this race is IAAF certified silver label race and IAAF Road Race Label Regulations will be applied as well.
Awards
1.1st – 8th place for Half Marathon(JAAF registered),3km.
*For Half Marathon, the results will be decided including all registered category A, B, C.)

2. 1st – 8th place for Half Marathon(overall)

*The certificate and a present will be given to each age category by 10 years for 1st – 3rd place for both men and women separately at a later day.
*The award ceremony for (2) will not be held and a certificate will be sent at a later date.

3. Special awards(Yamada Kanematsu Award, Shiwaku Tamao Award, Oura Tomeichi Award) will also be prepared.

4. "Coming from distance" Award(domestic runner only) and the oldest award will be prepared.
Caution
1.Using public transportation or free shuttle bus(departing from temporary parking area in JR Marugame station) is highly recommended.
*Parking lots will be assigned by lottery. Make sure to apply for it if you need. The lottery results will be uploaded on Event Official HP in the middle of December. The parking permit will be enclosed to the participant's guide.

2.Event applications are limited to one per person.

3.Half marathon runners must carefully remain in their divisions. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.

4.JAAF registered runners must declare their belongings correctly.

5.Runners will start according to the order of the times declared (their best time after January 2016 or their expected time) at the time of application. Please do not declare a false time because it will impede the safe operation of the event. Follow announcements and the instructions of staff members and be sure to start from the designated block. Those who fail to declare their time when applying, who arrive after the assembly time for starting or those who apply the day before the event will start from the last block. Never wedge yourself into another block.

6.Runners may be stopped when an emergency vehicle pass through.

7.First-aid for injuries or illnesses occurring during the event will be handled by the event organizer, though we can take no responsibility, liability, etc. (please bring your health insurance card, etc. with you).

8.Please pay careful attention to your physical condition, receive your doctor's permission, and follow your doctor's advice before participation.
Please refrain from joining the event if you feel not better or seem to be infected to some disease on the race day.

9.Personal belongings can be stored in the designated area, though no responsibility is accepted for theft,loss, etc.

10.An official record card (costing 1,000 yen) will be issued to registered runners who wish to receive it. Apply on the day of the event (only those who are registered with JAAF).
The records of all participants will be published on the event’s website after the event.

11.A disabled runner who needs an escort runner must contact to event organizer after the registration completed to receive the number card exclusive for an escort runner.A guide dog is not allowed.

12.Wheelchair is not allowed.

Privacy policy
The organizer recognizes the importance of personal information and treats them by complying with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and related laws and regulations as well as based on its personal information protection policy.
The personal information will, for the purpose of improving the service for the participants in the competition, be used for the guidance of the competition, notification of records and information related to the competition, provision of services from the sponsoing, partnering or related organizations of the competition, announcement of the record (including ranking etc.), questionnaire, etc.
* There are cases where participants are contacted by the organizer or Marugame international half secretariat with regards to the contents of their application.
Doping control
(1) Doping control will be carried out following the International Amateur Athletic Federation’s anti-doping rules and regulations, or Japan’s anti-doping regulations. Urine and/or blood tests will be carried out before and/or after the event. Please follow inspectors’ instructions when being tested. If you are selected for doping control at the event, a photo ID will be required. Please bring a photo ID such as a student ID card, employee ID card, driver’s license, clear copy of your passport, etc.
(2) TUE Application
Participants who, in order to treat conditions, must use substances or methods banned under the International Standards for Prohibition must apply for a “Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE).” For details, please see the Japan Association of Athletics Federation’s homepage or http: //www.jaaf.or.jp/medical/index.html) or the Japan Anti-Doping Agency home page (http: //www.playtruejapan.org/).
(3) Acquiring parental consent for doping control inspections administered to minors
From Jan. 1, 2015 World Anti-Doping Regulations, global standards, and the Japan Anti-Doping Regulations have been revised to require parental consent for doping control inspections administered to participants who are minors (under the age of 20).
① Minors participating in this event must bring an original copy of the consent form to the event after carefully reading the content and affixing their signature/name stamp. The form can be downloaded from http: //www.jaaf.or.jp/pdf/doisho.pdf
② If a minor is chosen to receive a doping exam, he or she must submit their consent form to the NFR representative in the testing area. It must only be submitted once. If the participants is examined more than once, he or she should notify the NFR representative that the form has already been submitted. Testing at the event may be carried out even if the form is not submitted, though it must be done so within seven days after the test (send it to the JAAF office).

Event agreement

Before applying, please agree to the following terms and conditions for the entry.

1.Once an application has been accepted, the contents of the application cannot be cancelled or changed, and entry fees will not be refunded.
2.In the case where the competition is cancelled due to the cuase for which the organizer cannot be responsible such as an earthquake, storm, flood, bad weather, snow, incidents, accidents, or epidemics, participation fee as well as commission fee will not be refunded.
3.Please make sure to be in your best health condition upon participating the competition by, for example, executing an adequate amount of tranings and going through a medical examination.
4.Make sure to follow the instruction of the event organizer when they judge that the continue of the race is difficult. Also, please follow any other instruction regarding safe and smooth event procedure.
5.First-aid for injuries or illnesses occurring during the event will be handled by the event organizer, though we can take no responsibility, liability, etc.
6.Any sickness, injury and any accidents that occur during the race are personal responsibility.
7.During the accident in the race, the organizer will provide only first aid and is not responsible for any further procedure. Please make
sure to enter the race with valid insurance.
8.A runner under 20 years old must obtain the consent of the guardian.
9.Any false information such as age, gender, record are prohibited, a third person is not permitted for run instead of the applicant in any situation.If the false registration was caught, the registration will be disqualified and entry next following years will not be accepted. All fees are non-refundable in this case.
10.The video recordings, photographs, articles, record of individual achievement, etc. of the competition may be used as an advertisement material for the competition’s programs and posters, as well as for TVs, radios, news papers, magazines, websites, etc., for the purpose of, for example, the management and advertisement of the competition, by the organizer or a third party that is approved by the organizer.
