Applications for 13th SHONAN INTERNATIONAL MARATHON done in English and Chinese (Traditional)shall be only for foreigner residing in Japan or foreign nationalities living abroad.

JTB Sports Station is not intended for use by entrants of Japanese nationality; any applications which are by Japanese nationality will be considered invalid. Please note that any entry fees paid will not be refunded.

Rules
Participants must abide by JAAF guidelines and rules set forth by the event organizer.
Entry requirements
(1) Full Marathon: Participants must be 18 years of age or older on the race day. Please note that participation by high school students is not allowed.
■Men/Women
Men and women who are able to finish the entire distance within 5 hours 45 minutes.

(2) 10 km: Participants must be 16 years of age or older on the race day.
■Men/Women
Men and women who are able to finish the entire distance within 2 hours.

(1)Full Marathon: 6 hours 30 minutes
(2)10 km Run: 2 hours

* Due to traffic, safety and race management reasons, participants who fail to cross the start gate within 30 minutes of the start gun being fired will be disqualified.

Checkpoint cut-off times will be used in the full and half marathons to avoid causing traffic, security, and operational problems.

* The cut-off time for the finish (at the Oiso Prince Hotel) is 3:30 PM, and a bus service will be provided to pick up runners who fail to arrive by this time. Application

International applicants: 8:00 PM on May 26 (Saturday)

■ Applications accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Recording / Measurement
(1) The record will be measured on the following points.
Full Marathon: 6 points (Starting point, 10km, 20km, 30km, 40km, Finish point)
10 km Run: 2 points (Starting point, Finish point)

(2) The order of finish and record will be measured by a measurement tag. If a runner forgets the tag or doesn’t equip it properly, he/ she will be disqualified and record will not be available.

(3) Official records will be measured by net time(the time from the moment a runner cross the start line to the time he/she cross the finish line). Race ranking is also decided by net time.

(4) Finisher’s certificate shows runner’s official record (net time) and unofficial record (gross time). Split time record by 10km is also shown for Full Marathon.

(1) Full Marathon
① Gender group: Awards will be given to the top 6 male and female runners.
② Age group (by decade): Awards will be given to the top 3 male and female runners in each age group.

*Official records will be measured by net time. Race ranking is also decided by net time.

Terms and conditons

1. Please read this event outline carefully before submitting your application.
2. Providing false information (on age, gender, etc.) or participating using another entrant's bib number is prohibited. Failure to abide by these rules will result in you being disqualified and banned from future races.
3. Runners should be well-trained and in good health to participate in this event. Runners are advised to have a medical check-up before the race.
4. Blatantly false declarations concerning your estimated finish time may result in you being disqualified and banned from future races.
5. The event organizer reserves the right to cancel the event due to inclement weather, a natural disaster, an accident, a security issue, a disease outbreak, or other circumstances outside the event organizer's control. In such an event, the entry and transaction fees will not be refunded.
6. Participants understand that the event's footage, photographs, and results may be used for media such as TV programs, newspaper and magazine articles, online content, future event posters/brochures, and the event's official website. Upon submitting the entry form, participants are deemed to have agreed that their image may be used for the above-mentioned media. Participants are also deemed to have agreed not to object to the event organizer using their image in such media.
7. Public excretion, including urination, is prohibited and doing so will result in disqualification. While participating in this event, participants are expected to exhibit good public manners and abide by the rules. Portable toilets will be available during the race, so make sure to use these facilities or public bathrooms. Public excretion is prohibited by penal law. Participants who are found to have broken this rule will be disqualified, removed from the course immediately and banned from future events. Serious offenses may be reported to the law enforcement authorities.
8. Flying a multicopter, drone, or radio-controlled helicopter over the event venue is strictly prohibited.
9. The consumption of alcohol by participants during or prior to the event is prohibited and may result in disqualification.
10. Running with a baby's buggy is not allowed. (Full Marathon, 10km, Family)

11. The event organizer bears no responsibility for any accidents, such as medical issues, injuries and loss/theft of personal belongings. The treatment provided by the event organizer will be FIRST AID ONLY.
12. The event is covered under a sports accident insurance policy.
13. Once entry has been confirmed, entrants may not change events or cancel their entry. Runners are not allowed to enter multiple events.
14. If you change address after submitting your application, please contact the event organizer.
15. Entry and transaction fees are not refundable.
16. After applying, you may be required by the event organizer to submit documents confirming your current address.
17. The event site is not accessible by any motor vehicles. Dropping off and picking up runners at the event site is also prohibited. (There will not be any parking spaces available at the event site.)
18. Please note that the Entry Center and the event organizer are unable to give updates regarding the status of your application or answer any other questions over the phone.
19. Participants must follow instructions given by the event organizer, officials, and all other staff. Failing to do so may result in disqualification.

【In case of inclement weather, earthquake, tsunami】

The race will be called off sooner as the National early warning system (J-ALERT) is transmitted to the race area by emergency municipal radio communication system.
Follow the instruction of event staff and the radio broadcast, and evacuate promptly.
If other warning or caution such as heavy rain or storm is announced, follow the instruction of event staff.

* J-ALERT covers 24 kinds of warning including earthquake, tsunami, volcano, weather and emergency situation.
Personal Information
○ All personal information gathered by the event organizer is used solely for the purpose of the race and may not be used for any other purpose. In using such information, the event organizer will adhere to the law.

○ The event organizer will handle personal information in accordance with their personal information protection policy.

○ The personal information collected from participants will be used to further improve the event by allowing the event organizer to communicate with participants announce results (rankings, etc.) send results to participants and use results in next year's brochure.
